In establishing functional apparel design within the lab, I have worked on research, development, and translation (prototype to production) of textile based exosuits that assist with human walking. More recently, I have worked on the design and development of textile based pneumatic actuator technology and its application in a soft robotic glove.
Outside the lab, I have a studio practice making art and objects and learning and practicing endangered hand skills such as shoemaking, basket weaving and tatting.dianawagner(at)seas(dot)harvard(dot)edu
